Elon Musk invites Vladimir Putin to a Clubhouse chat

It’s been an interesting weekend, and one of the things that happened was that Elon Musk tweeted an invitation to Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin, to open a Clubhouse discussion. This has many people speculating on Twitter about what exactly Elon would like Putin to talk about. In Russian, Elon followed up on his invitation, saying (according to the Google translation), “It would be a great honor to talk to you.”

Maybe he’s tired of Russian bots in his Twitter feed? Or maybe he’d like to extend the Starlink service to Russia. Or maybe he wants to form a relationship there for a SpaceX launch site, and do so in a way that does not deceive America or his security clearance. Note, Elon Musk has a top security clearance.

Clubhouse is a social media site which is very accessible. It’s like you’re in a three-way phone call, except it’s a group, instead of three people, you can listen to as many as 5,000 people. If it were to happen, this would place Russia in a very public spotlight. If they refuse the invitation of Elon, it might make Putin look bad. Many will see the rejection of such an offer as a sign of weakness or fear.

Elon has said time and again that he needs the light of consciousness to be protected. He thinks about what will happen if we destroyed this planet eventually. If we are not multi-planetary by then, our species will go extinct. The subject of tackling climate change may be a key advantage of a public dialogue between Elon Musk and Putin.

Elon Musk is willing to try to help save our planet and reduce our global carbon footprint, and Russia is the third largest oil producer in the world. Russia was the top oil producer in the world before being overtaken by Saudi Arabia and the US in recent years. In 2020, the output of oil in Russia was 11.49 million barrels per day.

Another key benefit from a conversation between the two is that it could help President Biden and our nation. Maybe Elon Musk will publicly open up a policy opportunity that could benefit both countries and the world.

However, if I were to guess, I’d say Elon was trying to get something from Russia to help him get us to Mars. That is his primary goal. Colonizing Mars and protection of the human race.
