Elon Musk says he will not take coronavirus vaccine, calls Bill Gates a ‘knucklehead’

Elon Musk stirred the pot once again after saying that neither he or his family would take a COVID-19 vaccine even if it was readily available, Tesla and SpaceX CEO.

During a Monday appearance on the New York Times opinion podcast “Sway,” the 49-year-old billionaire dropped the bombshell.

Musk told host Kara Swisher about the rationale behind his decision, “I’m not at risk, neither are my kids.”

The Tesla CEO decried the national lockdown during the strange exchange as a “no-win situation” that has “diminished my faith in humanity.” Musk previously labeled widespread quarantines as “unethical” and “de facto house arrest”, RT reports.

The Boring Company boss proposed a more tailored lockdown instead of the current sweeping steps, where “anyone who is at risk” be “quarantined until the storm passes.”

Swisher criticized his suggestion, adding that humans could potentially die in the process.

“Everybody dies,” quipped Musk.

Elon Musk said the coronavirus lockdown diminished his faith in humanity.

To highlight the supposed ridiculousness of the quarantines, Musk boasted that during the whole pandemic, SpaceX “didn’t skip a day.” “We had national security clearance because we were doing national security work,” he said. “We sent astronauts to the Space Station and back.”

Later on, Bill Gates’ criticism of his skepticism about the coronavirus, which Musk called “dumb” in March, was answered by the car mogul. The Microsoft founder reported during a CNBC interview in July that Musk did not know much about vaccines and said he hoped the SpaceX CEO “doesn’t confuse areas he’s not involved in too much.”

Musk told Swisher, “Gates said something about me not knowing what I was doing.” It’s like, “Hey, knucklehead, we actually make the vaccine machines for CureVac, that company you’re invested in.” He was referring to the fact that Tesla manufactures equipment for CureVac, the German biopharmaceutical company.

This past July, Musk shaded Gates with a series of cryptic tweets that read, “Billy G is not my lover,” and “the rumor that Bill Gates & I are lovers is completely untrue.”
