The airline did not specify when Starlink internet service would be available on its aircraft. However, Qatar Airways stated that customers should be able to access Wi-Fi speeds up to 350 Megabits per second on its flight with Starlink connectivity.
SpaceX launched Starlink Aviation last year. The service offers up to 350 Mbps internet speeds on airplanes. Starlink Aviation is already implemented in JSX, Hawaiian Airlines, airBaltic, and ZIPAIR aircraft.
Starlink Aviation has amazed flight passengers with its reliable and fast internet speed. In March 2023, travel reporters and blogger Zach Griff from The Points Guys tested Starlink’s service while on a JSX aircraft. Griff was impressed with Starlink Aviation.
“Just flew on [JSX] with the new SpaceX Starlink internet…and these are the fastest Wi-Fi speeds I’ve ever seen in the air,” commented the travel blogger.
