Elon Musk recently defended elevator music and now he wants Tesla to build a new feature so that their cars can play elevator music through their external speakers and spread the joy of jazz around.
\n\n\n\nTesla vehicles have external speakers. The purpose is to give out a pedestrian warning sound, which has become necessary in many markets for electric vehicles because they are quiet at low speeds.
\n\n\n\nElon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has been playing around with ideas on how to release features that take advantage of the fact that the vehicles now have external speakers.
\n\n\n\nBuilding a Tesla feature to play “snake jazz” and “Polynesian elevator music” through the speaker is his latest idea:
\n\n\n\nThis may sound like a joke, but it would not be the first time a new product from Tesla began like this. Musk also joked about Tesla launching a fart machine inside their cars and they did.
\n\n\n\nThe new concept for Tesla feature comes after Musk tweeted positively about jazz and elevator music:
\n\n\n\n“Snake jazz” is a reference to an episode of the TV show ‘Rick and Morty’ where the duo encounters a planet of snakes that have developed jazz music:
\n\n\n\nThis will not be the first time Tesla will be introducing a Rick and Morty easter egg inside its vehicles. Tesla’s app Sentry Mode also plays a TV show scene.
\n\n\n\nIn fact, this will not be the first feature to use the external speaker the CEO is joking about. Musk also spoke of Tesla vehicles having the ability to “talk” – like a Knight Rider – through the external speaker to people outside the vehicles.
\n\n\n\nIn January, the CEO even released a demo but Tesla has yet to release the feature.
