It’s no surprise that Tesla’s next-gen Roadster would be lightning-quick, with a 1.9-second estimated 0-60 mph time for the base model. However, adding SpaceX cold-gas thrusters to hide behind the license plate of the car could reduce the 0-60 mph time of Roadster to a dizzying 1.1 seconds.
YouTube channel Engineering Explained used some of the fundamental concepts of Isaac Newton ‘s physics to decide whether the Roadster will become one of the world’s fastest vehicles. By plugging in existing details provided by CEO Elon Musk about Tesla’s next-gen Roadster, host Jason Fenske estimated that the car would weigh approximately 2000 kg (4,400 lbs), which would add up to approximately 1,44 G’s acceleration g-force.
