Tesla Model S Plaid+ concept car coated in gold, and you can buy one

One of the most innovative vehicles in recent memory is the Tesla Model S. Despite the fact that Tesla first unveiled the Roadster in its early days, the Model S was the first car the company produced that was readily available to the general public when it began production in 2012. Tesla has updated the Model S many times over the years, but third-party customization companies such as Caviar Royal Gift have also added their own touches to the all-electric flagship sedan. This one is coated in 24 karat, 999 gold (indicating a gold content of 999.9 parts per thousand – the purest type of gold available to consumers), which matches the $299,999 price tag, ensuring that this ride remains exclusive to the wealthy.

Caviar has spent the majority of its time in business customizing iPhones that also sell for a high price. However, the company has taken on a new project that goes beyond the Smartphone market by customizing a brand new Model S sedan with the new Plaid+ powertrain, which sells for $168,990. While the Plaid+ Model S has the best performance specifications of any production vehicle, with a 0-60 MPH time of less than 1.9 seconds, a maximum speed of 200 MPH, and a range of more than 520 miles, the vehicle is already impressive in its own right.

Some owners, on the other hand, are concerned not only with efficiency but also with aesthetics. Although the Model S is a stylish vehicle on its own, owners and aftermarket companies have previously customized Tesla vehicles, resulting in some wildly innovative designs.

Caviar cranked it up a notch. “The World’s best electric car is turned into a truly luxury item. Black gloss and dazzling gold. This is how Caviar designers present a high-tech luxury vehicle,” the company writes. The Model S concept car was designed by a team of Caviar artists and is coated in 999 gold using the Double Electroplated process, which binds and preserves the gold to the car.

The company writes:

“The brand’s artists have created an exclusive Tesla Model S concept car. The electric car is presented in black and adorned with decorative elements covered with 999 gold in Double Electroplated technique. The radiator grille, side skirts, discs, rear-view mirrors and elements of the rear and front bumpers are in the gold color.

Imagine yourself driving this car: a respectable high-quality oil-colored body and a dazzling glow of gold. You are not just driving the car of the future. This is a new word in luxury car modding. If you think that they will turn after you and look with an admiring glance, you are not mistaken. That is exactly what the Caviar Model Excellence 24K is made for.

We are confident that the synthesis of high technology and luxurious materials is exactly what you need. It’s not just a car. It is the quintessence of sophistication, luxury, and self-confidence. Dare to walk such a beast along the main streets of the city? Be careful, you can dazzle those around you with your splendor.”

Caviar needs interested parties to make a request for the vehicle, but Tesla is ultimately responsible for the vehicle’s delivery schedule. According to Tesla’s online design studio, the Model S Plaid+ version, which was revealed earlier this year, will not be available until at least mid-2022.

Regardless, the Model S Excellence 24K, as it is known, is more than just a pretty face. Caviar also included renderings of the new gold-plated Yoke Steering wheel and dash screen, all of which are part of the updated Model S specification.

If you’re thinking about owning one for yourself, Caviar has stated that only 99 of these will be made, so get it while you can!
